Stefan L. Bell, LAC

Stefan Bell is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC). He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Biology from Liberty University and received a Master’s in Mental Health and Wellness from New York University.

Stefan has experience as a program coordinator at an outpatient detox facility. His knowledge comes from working with adults and young adults experiencing addiction, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, social issues, and many others.

Stefan’s person-centered approach is informed by neurobiology, narrative, psychodynamic, and existential models. He believes people need a place to express themselves in a safe and judgment-free environment. He feels therapy needs to address the whole person; mind, body, and spirit. Thus, we need to look at everything that may affect a person; work, family, sleep, nutrition, culture, environment, and biology. He views therapy as teamwork and works with clients tailoring treatments to their individual needs. To achieve these goals, Stefan utilizes evidenced-based therapies, including mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and narrative approaches. He enjoys helping clients identify their inner voice and motivations and employing them in treatment.
