Empowering teens and young adults to navigate life’s transitions with confidence, safety, and a clear path to success.

Specialized Care for the Next Generation

Kristin believes that the journey through adolescence and young adulthood requires a unique blend of safety and strategy. With both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from William Paterson University, Kristin has dedicated her career to the "emerging adult" population. She specializes in helping teens and young adults manage the heavy weights of anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues. Kristin provides a nonjudgmental, safe environment where young people feel heard, particularly when navigating high-risk challenges such as self-harm or complex life transitions.

Collaborative Success & Achievement

Kristin’s approach is active and goal-focused. By integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), she works alongside her clients to transform "school issues" and emotional distress into actionable plans for success. She emphasizes Mindfulness to help young adults ground themselves during turbulent times. As an Approved Clinical Supervisor, Kristin brings a high standard of evidence-based rigor to her sessions, ensuring that every client leaves with the tools necessary to achieve their personal and academic goals.

Clinical Focus:

  • Adolescent Mental Health: Specialized support for teens facing depression, social anxiety, and the pressures of modern school environments.

  • Young Adult Transitions: Guiding emerging adults through the shift to college, career, and independent living.

  • Self-Harm & Crisis Stabilization: Providing a secure, DBT-informed space to develop healthy coping mechanisms and safety plans.

  • Self-Esteem & Identity: Helping young people build a resilient sense of self-worth during formative years.

Goal-Oriented, DBT-Informed, & Transition-Focused Supervision

With a career-long dedication to the "emerging adult" population, Kristin’s approach to supervision is a structured, transition-focused partnership. Drawing from her academic roots at William Paterson University, she moves away from passive observation to help clinicians master the unique "safety and strategy" required for high-risk adolescent care. Kristin acts as a stabilizing force for her supervisees, offering the evidence-based rigor and active goal-setting necessary to guide young people through the turbulent shift from school issues to independent success.

Supervisory Style:

  • Adolescent & Emerging Adult Specialization: Kristin provides a specialized supervisory space focused on the "next generation." She mentors clinicians in the nuances of modern school pressures, social anxiety, and the logistical shifts of college and career transitions.

  • High-Risk & Crisis Mentorship: Utilizing a DBT-informed framework, Kristin provides a secure environment for supervisees navigating high-acuity challenges such as self-harm and crisis stabilization. She guides clinicians in developing meticulous safety plans and healthy coping mechanisms for their most vulnerable clients.

  • The Achievement-Based Lens: Kristin focuses on transforming emotional distress into actionable plans for success. She mentors supervisees in the integration of CBT and Mindfulness, helping them ground their clients while maintaining a high standard of academic and personal achievement markers.

  • Professional Identity & Growth: Supervision with Kristin is a thoughtful, growth-oriented process centered on building a resilient sense of self-worth in the clinician. She ensures her associates are equipped with the sophisticated tools needed to provide a nonjudgmental, safe environment while reaching their own professional benchmarks.
