Joseph Rotondi is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Joseph received his master’s degree in counseling with a concentration in addiction from Montclair State University in 2014. Joseph obtained his undergraduate degree in Sociology from Penn State in 2010.

Joseph has been working in the substance abuse field for the past eight years within a non- profit agency. Joseph services mainly adults as the role of clinical counselor, co-occurring clinician, clinical supervisor, and currently program director. Joseph has experience within many different treatment modalities including standard outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, long/short term residential treatment, and detoxification/withdrawal management. Joseph is also an experienced co-occurring clinician and understands the importance of treating both the mental health disorder and substance use disorder concurrently in order to provide the best care for his patients.

Joseph takes a person centered approach to counseling in which he tailors his treatment approach to the specific needs of the patient, while focusing on their strengths, aspirations, and goals in an empathetic environment. Joseph utilizes treatment interventions such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and rational emotive behavioral therapy. Joseph believes that the power of change ultimately resides in his patients and helps empower them to enact the changes they want to see in their life.
