Creating a safe foundation for children and families to grow, communicate, and thrive together.

Arlene believes that every child and adolescent deserves a voice and a safe space to be heard. With a Master’s degree from William Paterson University and a specialized background in Child Advocacy and Policy, Arlene brings a systemic awareness to her work that goes beyond the therapy room. She focuses on supporting children and young adults navigating the complexities of anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns, ensuring the therapeutic process is both developmentally appropriate and supportive.

Arlene’s counseling style is integrative and adaptable. She blends the creative, exploratory elements of Play Therapy for younger children with the structured, goal-oriented tools of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for adolescents. By incorporating Family Therapy and mindfulness, she helps the entire family unit develop healthy communication and coping strategies. Arlene is dedicated to meeting each individual exactly where they are to foster meaningful, lasting change.

Specialized Training:

  • Child Advocacy & Policy: Utilizing her specialized academic background to support children’s emotional well-being within family and school systems.

  • Early Intervention Play Therapy: Engaging younger children through creative and age-appropriate therapeutic techniques that allow them to express what they cannot yet put into words.

  • Adolescent Stress & Anxiety: Helping young adults manage the unique pressures of social adjustment, academic performance, and self-esteem.

  • Family Systemic Support: Strengthening home dynamics and resolving behavioral conflict through an integrative, family-centered lens.
