Therapy Resources of Morris County, LLC offers Domestic Abuse Evaluations for men and women who have recently been involved with the court system due to a domestic complaint action taken against them and are required to follow up with an evaluation to determine treatment needs, if any.
Therapy Resources MC staff has 10 plus years working with evidence based treatment models that follow the State of New Jersey Domestic Violence Procedure Manual for approved Batterer Intervention Programs inclusive of the following information:
The Domestic Violence Network’s Self-Evaluation Tool for Batterers Intervention Programs to help judges consider the quality of existing programs.
Batterer Intervention Program (BIPs) offer courts a treatment approach that holds batterers accountable, while striving to change their behavior.
Therapy Resources MC has a Licensed Professional Staff providing individual therapy and group psychotherapy to those individuals identified as eligible for batterers’ intervention services.
Individual therapy utilizes evidence-based offender education and treatment addressing symptoms most often related to engagement in abusive relationships.
Group psychotherapy focuses on offenders learning skills, techniques, options, and plans for better relationships without the need to utilize power and control. The STOP program developed by David B. Wexler provides a peer supported environment that allows individuals to hold each other accountable and develop healthy assertive relationships with others through modeling behaviors.
