Michelle Belfiore is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and Certified School Counselor. Michelle has more than five years of experience working in middle and high school settings as well as teaching undergraduate psychology courses. These experiences have allowed her to share her love for teaching, counseling, and professional experiences with others. Michelle’s background has given her great insight into the complex, day-to-day lives of today's children, adolescents, and young adults - both in and out of the classroom.
While balancing and prioritizing all aspects of one’s wellness is not always easy, it is certainly possible. Guiding clients towards these goals has become a focus of Michelle’s counseling work as she has seen just how impactful the results can be. She is passionate in her belief that our past experiences do not define who we are as individuals nor do they have to predict our futures. Using techniques including mindfulness and cognitive restructuring, Michelle works with clients to better understand presenting concerns while activating the change process towards living a healthier lifestyle with increased productivity.
