Jill supervises clinicians working to achieve the Licensed Professional Counselor designation in the state of New Jersey. Her clinical experience includes working with those diagnosed with co-occurring disorders; both adults and adolescents. She has facilitated multiple groups in Intensive Outpatient, school, and community settings. Her clients’ have successfully addressed issues of depression and anxiety through CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness modalities. At the same time if unhelpful coping skills are identified as problematic, behavioral modification is utilized. She works closely with medical prescribers of medications ensuring wrap around care. Her supervisees will practice within this framework.
Jill attained her second master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Counseling Psychology; her first is in Education from The College of New Jersey. She has dual licenses in the fields of professional counseling and drug and alcohol counseling. She is certified in Bowen Family Systems Theory, Positive Psychology, and SMART Recovery. Currently she is studying and practicing the modality of Psychodrama.
Jill has volunteer and professional experience working with those grieving the loss of a loved one. However, issues of bereavement are generally considered to be normal and not clinical unless signs of depression, anxiety, or trauma persists.
She is client-centered in that she works compassionately and cooperatively to meet established goals focusing on parameters and progress markers.
