Christie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and received a Master's of Social Work Degree from New York University. She has over 13 years of experience working with individuals and families touched by anxiety, depression, grief and loss, adoption, trauma and more.
Christie completed the Adoption Certificate Program through Rutgers University School of Social Work and has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults adopted both domestically and internationally and diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, reactive attachment disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Christie offers a psycho-dynamic and process oriented, strengths-based approach in therapy sessions. She completed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program through the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Center of NJ and is a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP). Christie utilizes breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and mindfulness skills to help adolescents and adults reduce anxiety, promote self-awareness and ultimately feel better.
